CURRENT EXHIBITS AT THE NORTH HAVEN HISTORICAL SOCIETY
FARMING ON NORTH HAVEN
Yesterday, Today, & Tomorrow This permanent exhibit in our farm building explores North Haven's agricultural past from the ground up. It's about the soil beneath our feet that formed over 15,000 year ago and the people who have lived here and cared for the land -- Wabanakis, settlers, farmers, fishermen, summer residents, newcomers, and old timers. |
FISHING, BOATBUILDING, & DEEPWATER MARINERS
This permanent exhibit in the boatshed describes North Haven's maritime history. From the time of European settlement in the 18th century, North Haven has been home to deep water mariners, boat and ship builders, and a community of fishermen. |
