READING, WRITING, & ROAMING : EDUCATION ON NORTH HAVEN

Located in the schoolroom area of the museum, this exhibit explores the vital role schools have held on the island. Through photographs, town records, personal accounts, and descriptions of ten different island schools, the exhibit documents North Haven's long tradition of community education.

Exhibit text written by Lydia Brown in 2020 with editing support from Barney Hallowell, Nan Lee, Courtney Naliboff, and Hope Sage.
