PAST EXHIBITS

Over the years, we have created summer exhibits ranging in topics from North Haven in the Civil War to homegrown island artists to boat models of North Haven. As time allows, we will place exhibit material online and we look forward to sharing with you here.

PULPIT HARBOR EXHIBIT
In 2017, our summer exhibit focused on the history of Pulpit Harbor, a deep, protected anchorage on North Haven's northern shore. During the 19th century, the island's population centered around the harbor with a village of homes, a school, several stores, and a bustling waterfront.

LEARN ABOUT OUR ISLAND BUILDERS PAST AND PRESENT
For generations, North Haven’s carpenters have shaped the island’s landscape with their skilled hands and deep knowledge of local materials. From sturdy barns to timeless island homes, their work reflects both practicality and craft—structures built to weather storms, hold families, and last through the decades.
